Thursday; July 21,2016 : Chief Minister Davendra Fadnavis yesterday; after suspending the excise department clerk, put up the committee below chief secretary Swadhin Kshatriya to investigate the irregularities in the department officers' transfers and promotions.

According to the statement Fadnavis made in Rajya Sabha, "The transfers and promotions of officers happen as per the board guidelines. Even when an officer is suspended, as per the Supreme Court directive, the government cannot keep him/her out of work for more than 12 months. If there are irregularities, then the chief secretary will investigate and submit the report".

On Tuesday, CM Fadnavis had suspended a clerk and issued a show reason notice to the excise superintendent of Kolhapur over the transfer sort of a dead excise officer.

Anil Galgali wanted to know,"We demand an in-depth probe and action against the guilty. The suspension should not be limited to the clerk. The people who are working in the chief minister's office and personal secretary to the chief minister are also equally responsible for this malafide act. Action has to be taken against them too. Why is the chief minister making a junior excise officer the scapegoat to save the big fishes?"
