Ranchi: The case of 3 MLAs of the Jharkhand Congress being caught in West Bengal has now taken a new turn. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has dismissed the allegation of Congress MLA Kumar Jaimangal and said that a fake FIR has been lodged in Jharkhand. Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, "Fake FIR was lodged in Jharkhand. The so-called FIR looks like Congress is asking Ottavio Quattrocchi to file a case against Bofors.''

At the same time, Parliamentary Affairs Minister in the government, Pijush Hazarika, tweeted, "Jharkhand Congress MLA Kumar Jaimangal made a fake allegation that the three MLAs lured him to meet the CM of Assam. Five days before the FIR was lodged, he (Jaimangal) was taken to the residence of Union Minister Prahlad Joshi at 9 am on July 26 by the Chief Minister to assist in the matter related to the trade union.''

Pijush Hazarika further wrote, 'MLA Kumar Jaimangal keeps on meeting Chief Minister Hemanta Biswa Sharma continuously. He should face the law for levelling false allegations against the CM of Assam and those tribal MLAs.' Actually, MLA from Bermo, Jaimangal had alleged on Sunday that the BJP is conspiring to topple the JMM-Congress government in Jharkhand. He claimed that Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sharma is playing the lead role in this. Earlier on Monday, the Criminal Investigation Department of Bengal Police got clues that more than Rs 48 lakh recovered from the three suspended Congress MLAs were handed over to them in Kolkata. This money was recovered from the MLA's car on Saturday evening at Panchal in the Howrah district.
