Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Wednesday participated in the 'Navaratnalu - Home for the Poor' program as part of his visit to Vijayanagar district. Later, CM Jagan unveiled the 'YSSAR Jagannanna Colony' pylon in Gunkalam, the largest in the state in area. In a short while, house rails will be distributed to the poor in Gunkalam and construction work will start. In the same way consider the model house built there. Chief Minister Jagan will participate in an interview arranged with the beneficiaries of the houses at the venue.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Botsa Satyanarayana said that CM Jagan has made the dream of owning the poor come true. He said that besides giving houses to the poor, a house would also be built. He reminded that the CM was moving forward with the aim of meeting the needs of the people. He said welfare schemes have been implemented since the formation of the government.

Minister Pushpasrivani said that the credit for giving 30 lakh house titles was not in the history of the country. CM YS Jagan said that CM Jagan stood by SC, ST, BC and minorities and claimed that he was a woman empowerment champion. On women's empowerment, CM Jagan said the country was an ideal.

Earlier in the day, Rajya Sabha members Vijayasaireddy, MP MVV Satyanarayana and District Collector Vinay Chand welcomed Commissioner Jagan at the Visakhapatnam airport.

Authorities have prepared the largest layout on 397.36 acres in Gunkalam. The largest layout will be developed in 6 blocks at a cost of Rs 4.37 crore for 12,301 beneficiaries. Authorities prepared a total of 1,164 layouts in the district.
