Mewat: Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar and Home Minister Anil Vij have issued strict action orders in connection with the crushing of DSP Surendra Singh, who had come to stop illegal mining in Mewat, Haryana. Surendra, a resident of Kurukshetra, will be given a final farewell at Sarangpur in Hisar. Surendra was to retire after 3 months. On Tuesday morning, he had talked to his younger brother over the phone and promised to come home soon.

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar has tweeted his condolences over the killing of Surendra Singh on his day. He said "Strictest possible action has been ordered in the case of murder of DSP Tavdu (Nuh) Surendra Singh Ji, not a single culprit will be spared. I have my deepest condolences to the bereaved family. May God place the departed soul in his feet.'' At the same time, Home Minister Anil Vij has issued the strictest possible action orders. Anil Vij said, "The mining mafia will not be spared under any circumstances. If the force of the surrounding districts has to be deployed, then it will be deployed.''

On the other hand, as soon as the news of Surendra Singh's death was received, there was an atmosphere of mourning in his house. Surendra's younger brother and officer at the operative bank, Ashok, said that he had a phone conversation with his elder brother at 8:00 am today, he had said that he would come home soon.
