Chandigarh: After Uttar Pradesh, the Haryana government now plans to open the film city. The place for Film City has also been finalised as well as encouraging state artists to pay awards per year. Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar announced this on Friday after meeting Haryanvi artists.

In a tweet, CM Manohar Lal Khattar wrote, "The plan to open a film city in Haryana is being worked out. 50 to 100 acres of land has been earmarked for the same. An award will be given every year at the state level to encourage Haryanvi artists and all possible help will also be provided for the promotion of art." CM shared information on meeting Haryana artists.

CM Manohar Lal Khattar said that the Chief Minister's residence in Chandigarh today discussed various issues related to the art sector consisting of talented artists from Haryana. Our artists have enhanced the value of the state by extending the culture of Haryana to the world with their hard work and talent in the field of art. CM Khattar also said that no youth who are unemployed has devised a six-month exit strategy under the competent youth scheme to realise this vision. Under the scheme, special efforts will be made to increase the opportunities for youth to work through their skill development, employable training and employment linkage.
