Chandigarh: Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has recently come out of jail on a 40-day parole. Politics has also started about this. On the one hand, advocate HC Arora filed a petition in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, saying that the danger has increased significantly due to Ram Rahim's parole. On the other hand, a reaction of Haryana CM Manohar Lal has come out. He has said that in the crime in which strict sections have been imposed against Ram Rahim, he is serving the sentence. After that, what happens according to the manual in jail and what does not? The government should not say anything about this.

Khattar also said the government cannot interfere with the jail manual. The jail administration must have granted parole as per the jail manual. If anyone has objections to his parole, he can challenge it in court. What they can and cannot do is for the court to see. What the rest of the people kept doing on parole, everyone saw, people have also taken out election rallies. Ram Rahim, who is serving a 20-year jail term for raping two of his disciples in Sirsa, was recently granted parole for 40 days. The decision to grant parole to Ram Rahim ahead of the Adampur bypoll and panchayat elections in Haryana on November 3 has created a political furore in the state.

On October 26, CM Khattar organized a press conference on the completion of 8 years of his government in the state. On the question raised on Ram Rahim's parole, Khattar said that he has no role in the parole granted to Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh because jails have their own rules and regulations. Khattar said courts award imprisonment and a convict goes to jail. After this, the rules of the jail apply to all the prisoners.
