Patna: After a verbal spat between CM Nitish Kumar and Bihar Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha, JDU has started doing damage control. The Parliamentary Affairs Minister said that Nitish Kumar has not said anything wrong. He said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar considers posture as paramount.

Actually, Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha himself did not come after the assembly proceedings started on Tuesday, but he sent Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Prem Kumar to conduct the proceedings of the House. After Prem Kumar conducted the proceedings of the House, RJD MLAs raised the issue of CM vs Speaker of the Assembly and created a ruckus. RJD MLA Lalit Yadav said that the whole house is saddened by the way Nitish Kumar spoke undemocratic things inside the house. Asana is paramount and giving directions to the posture is not correct at all.

Replying to the same RJD MLAs, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Chaudhary said in the House, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar did not make any unparliamentary or indecent remarks yesterday. Nitish Kumar said that the scope and responsibilities of the legislature and the executive are completely different. Both should respect each other. Interfering with each other creates more uncomfortable situations. The Speaker of the Assembly also reiterated that all work should be done according to the Constitution. There is no contradiction anywhere between the CM and the president. The talk of the CM speaking in a non-respectful manner towards the Speaker or the House is absolutely baseless.
