For information, the River Godavari flows 100 metres above sea level and Telangana is located about 650 metres above Godavari. Due to this, the farmers of Telangana were suffering from continuous drought. The Telangana CM KCR had planned to lift the water of the Godavari river. The Godavari water pump will be used daily to deliver 13 TMC of water daily to the Medigadda barrage through the world's longest 14.09 km tunnel. It will send water to various drought-hit areas and cities through canals from here.
