Bhopal: MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan today performed Surya Namaskar on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary at his residence. Greeting the sun, he said, "Swami Vivekananda ji is our role model. He used to say that man is not just a three-and-a-half-handed bone mass statue. He is a part of God, the son of Nectar, a storehouse of infinite powers, a part of immortal bliss. There is no work in the world that human beings cannot do. But his means are the body. I myself do Yoga and Pranayama every day. This increases my ability to work manifold. You must also do Surya Namaskar daily, learn Pranayama and keep your body healthy.

At the same time, he said that the practice of Yoga is thousands of years old, not today. I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making this tradition of Yoga universal. Today, every country in the world does yoga. I appeal to all to do yoga every day to keep the body healthy, perform Surya Namaskar. Surya Namaskar helps in relieving anxiety and keeping the mind calm.
