Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed happiness over the bjp's announcement of tribal community's Draupadi Murmu as its candidate in the election of the 16th President of the country. On Tuesday, he said it was a wonderful and unique decision. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that a wonderful, unique decision in the 75th year of independence has been taken today under the chairmanship of PM Narendra Modi and JP Nadda. Bjp, NDA and allies have fielded Draupadi Murmu Ho, sister of tribal community, as the presidential candidate.  

Chief Minister Shivraj said that it has made the entire country happy and filled with pride. This is a matter of great pride, especially for the tribal society. For the first time in the country, there will be a President from the tribal community. The Chief Minister said that the tribal President, the woman President, the President from the eastern part of the country, the Teacher President, each and every post has been maintained by them with full efficiency. The councillors, MLAs, members of the state cabinet and the Governor have fulfilled whatever responsibility they got with authenticity. I am confident that as the head of the country, as the constitutional head, Draupadi ji will create a new history of service to the country. Many congratulations

The last date for filing nominations for the presidential election is June 29, while voting will take place on July 18. Counting of votes will take place on July 21.
