Mumbai: The government in Maharashtra, which is facing the severe crisis of the corona epidemic, has extended the lockdown period till May 31. To prevent the spread of Corona, the government led by CM Uddhav Thackeray extended the lockdown till 31 May. The lockdown was increased in the hotspot areas two days ago, but now the order has been issued for the entire state.

The Uddhav government issued the order on Sunday, the last day of Lockdown 3.0. All government departments have been instructed to follow the guidelines. Maharashtra has become the second state after Punjab, where the lockdown has been extended till 3 May. It is noteworthy that more than 1100 people have lost their lives in Maharashtra due to Corona. The number of corona infected patients in the state is 30 thousand 706, out of which 1135 have been killed. Mumbai alone has 18555 cases of infection and 696 deaths.

After the Cabinet meeting on Thursday, the lockdown was extended to 31 May in all hotspot areas including the capital Mumbai in Maharashtra. The lockdown period was extended to Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Pune, Solapur, Aurangabad and Malegaon. Now the lockdown has been extended to 31 May across the state.
