CM Thackeray has said that employment should be provided to Marathis through the industry policy of the state and training program should be included in this policy. In this regard, Uddhav Thackeray also directed to take help from the Higher and Technical Education Department and Skill Development Department. Let us inform that the review meeting of the Industry Department was held on 4 May in Mumbai. CM Thackeray emphasized that efforts should be made to bring investment to Maharashtra. He said that Marathis should get a chance in whatever industries have been established in Maharashtra.
From this point of view, the training program providing employment should be considered in the industry policy, so that the industry gets trained human resource according to its requirement and our youth also get employment opportunities. At the same time, Shiv Sena has said that it is ready for any challenge regarding the local body elections in Maharashtra and for the last few months it is ready for elections. Let us tell you that on the issue of OBC reservation, the Maharashtra government has got a big setback from the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
The Maharashtra government had filed a petition in the Supreme Court citing that the delimitation work was in progress and appealed that only after that the local body elections should be held. The Supreme Court has given its verdict in this matter. On the petition of the Maharashtra government, the Supreme Court has said that before implementing the policy of giving reservation to OBCs, it will be necessary to tighten the triple test means 3 criteria. The Supreme Court said that reservation can be given to OBCs only after the results of all three tests are positive. The 3 test includes the basis of making the commission, detailed data of backwardness, proportion of backward castes in the total population and proportional representation.
