The investigation stems from complaints related to financial transactions between Veena's IT firm and a private mineral company. This move has stirred political controversy in Kerala, with Congress MLA Mathew Kuzhalnadan revealing the CPI(M) state secretariat's earlier defense of Veena through a press statement when concerns were first raised about her IT company.
