Bengaluru: The entire North Karnataka is in the grip of severe flood due to heavy rains. Belagavi, Hubli, Dharwad, Bagalkot, Raichuru, Kalburghi, Kudgu, Kalburghi, South Kannada districts have been the worst affected due to continuous rain. The district administration is fully engaged in rescue, local administration, NDRF and other rescue agencies.

The rescue team is also taking the help of the Army to provide relief to the people. Yeddyurappa, CM b.C.Yeddyurappa of the state, has been staying in Belagavi since last evening and is constantly monitoring the situation. The chief minister of the state, CM B S Yeddyurappa has called for a chopper to rescue the people trapped in the flood.  CM Yeddyurappa has promised to provide all possible measures to save people's lives and property.

School colleges in several districts have been declared holiday due to heavy rains. According to the Met department's status report, the rain will continue in the area for the next 3-4 days. In view of this, CM Yeddyurappa of the province has instructed the people of the state and appealed to them to reach a safe place.
