Lucknow: Generally, the common shopkeepers are seen selling chicken and mutton on the roadside. Taking strict action against such shopkeepers, UP CM Yogi Adityanath has said that if the meat shops are seen on the roadside, then the state government will take strong action against the DM and SP of that district. Although in UP this rule is already in force, but still slaughtering animals are being sold in public places.
Significantly, these instructions have been given to the officials in a meeting held in Lucknow. This information has been given by Mr Yoginjay Kumar, Media Advisor to CM Yogi. CM Yogi says that illegal slaughterhouses in the state are completely banned. Even after this, there are complaints of running slaughterhouses in many districts. He said that illegal slaughterhouses meant not only large slatter houses, but also cock and goat shops being sold openly on the roadside in the markets.
CM Yogi said that this should also be banned. This spreads the infection, which is adversely affecting people's health. If the shops of cock and goat cutting are seen openly along the road, then the collective responsibility of DM and SP of the concerned district will be fixed and strict action will be taken on it.
