Lucknow: CM Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh, the country's largest state, has given best wishes to the people of the state on Rakshabandhan. Along with this, the CM said that on this auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan, the protocol of Corona should be followed completely. No public program should be held. All the rituals of the festival should be done at home. In this way, the festival should be celebrated by taking care of social distance.

Further, Chief Minister Yogi has said that Rakshabandhan is a festival of mutual love, affection and trust of brothers and sisters. This festival is a symbol of duty, intimacy, sacrifice, social unity and a sense of harmony. The festival of Rakshabandhan is celebrated on the day of Shravan Purnima. In the month of Shravan, the sages used to study and perform sacrifices while staying in the ashram. On Shravan Purnima there was a full sacrifice of monthly yagna. At the end of the yagna, there was a practice of tying Rakshasutra to the priests and disciples, which is also followed as Raksha Bandhan. The festival of Rakshabandhan also works to increase affection and brotherhood in the society.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath has given orders to provide free travel facility to women in all categories of buses of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation on Rakshabandhan festival this year, like the last three years. Under this, this facility will be provided 24 hours between midnight of 12 August to 12 midnight of 3 August. This was confirmed by the Uttar Pradesh government spokesperson. And in this way CM Yogi has appealed to all citizens to observe the festival, keeping the direction of Corona, following the directions.
