He said he had such a fight with Yogi that twice Union Home Minister Amit Shah himself had to come and reconcile.

Rajbhar further said that for the first time since independence, this was the kind of CM vs cabinet minister battle. O.P. Rajbhar said in an interview that we have been doing politics of issues for almost 42 years. We came to the House after a long time. In 18 months, I have shown in the state's polity that we came to the Assembly, not for ourselves, but for the rights of the deprived, backward, downtrodden, minority.'

Rajbhar, who was a cabinet minister in the Yogi government, spoke about how he was having differences with the CM. "Inside the Assembly, not only the entire state but the people of the country saw that for the first time after independence, for 70 years, voting is being held, MLAs are being elected, there was so much fight between CM vs Cabinet Ministers, CM Yogi and Om Prakash Rajbhar in the Assembly, so much fight took place that the Home Minister of our country Amit Shah had to come to Lucknow twice and try for reconciliation.'

"We said that what you promised us, we are also not asking for anything, we do not want anything, what they said from us is that let the government be formed, we will conduct the caste-wise census. Our condition was a caste-wise census, implementation of the report of the Social Trust Committee, our issue was uniform and compulsory free education in the State, our issue was to waive the domestic electricity bill. That's what we had a dispute about.''
