Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said that the Swasth Bharat Abhiyan is part of the Sashakt Bharat Abhiyan. All the institutions, public representatives and common people will have to join the programmes of the government. If all the people join together in a collective, then it will have successful and meaningful results. It is with the spirit of collectivity that we have completely controlled the encephalitis that has wreaked havoc on the innocent for 40 years, the global epidemic of Corona has been brought under control and presented a precedent to the whole world.

The same Chief Minister Yogi was addressing a function to mark the launch of the Pulse Polio Campaign at the premises in front of the District Women's Hospital in Gorakhpur on Sunday. On this occasion, he also gave anti-polio drops to 5 children with his hand. The CM said that the solution to the problem of polio has been achieved in UP 12 years ago. But, in these 12 years, polio cases have been reported in some countries including Pakistan, Afghanistan. The disease being contagious remains a threat until the infection is eliminated from the world. So, we have to keep making meaningful efforts till polio is eradicated all over the world.  

At the same time, he said that just imagine, what will happen to the children who become permanently disabled for the rest of their lives in the grip of polio, their families. So, the Government will continue the polio eradication drive till the disease is eradicated from all over the world. Chief Minister Yogi informed that under the pulse polio campaign, 3.80 crore children up to 5 years of age will be given two drops of life (anti-polio drops) in the state. 1.10 lakh booths have been set up to provide disease protection cover to so many children, as well as 76,000 mobile teams. The new generation that is coming among us, we will be able to defend this campaign by making it a success.
