Lucknow:  CM Yogi Adityanath's action against corruption is underway. There were several scams in the Akhilesh Yadav government of the former Samajwadi Party (SP). The inquiry was being sought for several days. On Saturday, he gave a major blow to SP President Akhilesh Yadav and ordered him to file an FIR in the bank scam in his government.

CM Yogi Adityanath has allowed filing of FIRs against the erring officials in the much-hyped Cooperative Bank appointment scam during the Akhilesh Yadav-led SP government regime. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) will now file a designated FIR against the then two managing directors, including the then two managing directors, who are guilty of corruption in appointments and clamp down on them. The investigation can also reach Akhilesh Yadav himself.

The SIT, set up by the Yogi government, had submitted its inquiry report to the government in the past and recommended registration of cases against the erring officials. In a tweet, the Chief Minister's office shared the details of the APPROVAL of firs in this serious case of rigging of appointments. There are serious allegations of corruption in the recruitments made in 2016-17 to the posts of Assistant Manager (General) and Assistant Manager (Computer) of Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Bank in the year 2015-16 and manager and assistant/cashier.
