Georgia Police searches Armed man who held hostage of 40 persons in a bank

In a bank in Georgia, an armed raider holds more than 40 person as hostages for hours on Wednesday. The police authorities has launched an operation after the accused broke into the branch in the western town of Zugdidi around 02:21 PM local time. The armed person released 43 persons gradually and the Georgia's Interior Minister said the hostage lives and health are no longer in danger.

The armed person has left the building with a local police director and two more citizens as hostages. $500,000 and a vehicle was provided by the authorities to the person and then he drove away. In a forested area, the three hostages were left free with no evidence of where he is he disappeared. Thursday, Georgia's Prime Minister, Giorgi Gakharia, during the Government meeting insisted the Police department to track the assailant as quickly as possible adding ," there must be no illusion that a crime can go unpunished". Interior minister Vakhtang Gomelauri told that the assailant's demands were fulfilled because people's lives are more important for the government.

 The negotiation with the assailant lasted long and was highly difficult. The employees and the bank customers held as hostage are been transferred to safe places now. The photos were shown authorities escorting people out of the bank. Avtandil Galdava, director of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department replaced the hostages and the assailant flew away with him. The department is continuing intensive operative-investigative and search activities in order to arrest the assailant.
