Lucknow: UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flagged off the Unity race 'Run for Unity' on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the country's first Home Minister. In his address, CM Yogi said that Patel has an important role for the integrity and unity of the country. To make people aware of great personality and the work done for the country, PM Narendra Modi built the world's highest statue 'Statue of Unity' at his birth place.

He said that every citizen of the country connected with it, iron collected from house to house was used in its construction. CM Yogi Adityanath said that people should especially adopt the life values and ideals of young Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel. Even today many anti-country forces are active. For their own benefit, they are constantly conspiring to break the country on the basis of caste, religion, region and language.

CM Yogi said that expose such forces. This was done by Sardar Patel as the first Home Minister of the country. The mere merger of 563 princely states after the Independence is evidence of this. The present form of India is due to his same vision. Many people have sacrificed for independence.
