Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Monday said the population control programme went ahead successfully, but the situation of demographic imbalance could not even arise. Launching the 'Population Stabilisation Pakhwada' on the occasion of World Population Day in Lucknow, CM Yogi said, "When we talk about the family planning/population stabilization, we have to keep in mind that the population control programme should move forward successfully, but the situation of demographic imbalance should not even arise.''
CM Yogi further said, "We all know that for the last five years, extensive awareness programmes are being run across the country about population stabilization. The population on a certain scale is also the achievement of the society, but this achievement is only when the society can achieve a state of health and well-being.'' According to a tweet from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), "Yogi said that if we have skilled manpower, it is an achievement for the society, but where there is a disease, disorder, lack of adequate resources, population explosion is also a challenge in itself.'' CM Yogi said that Uttar Pradesh is the largest state in the country in terms of population and Asha sisters, Anganwadi workers, gram pradhans, kshetra panchayat samitis and other representatives and teachers can take the population control programme forward in a better way along with the health department.
At the same time, CM Yogi also advised making collective efforts in this direction. CM Yogi extends the heartiest greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of World Population Day. Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, Minister of State for Health Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh and Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra and several other personalities were present at the event.
