Uttarkashi: After PM Narendra Modi's address, a vaccination drive was also launched at the centres of Uttarkashi. Two vaccination centres have been set up in the district. One centre was built at Uttarkashi District Hospital in Ganga Valley and the other at CHC Nagaon in Yamunghati. The two centres have set a target of vaccinating 100-100 people. The first vaccine for coronavirus was given to CMO Dr D.P. Joshi, while the second vaccine was given to generator operator Dinesh Nautiyal. The first vaccine at CHC Nagaon has already been given to Ganesh Dimri pharmacist.

Till 2 pm, 38 beneficiaries have been injected with vaccines at the district hospital and 28 in CHC Nagaon. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the officers and staff of the health department about vaccination. A team of specialist doctors has been deployed to deal with any emergency situation. Additional vehicles including ambulances have already been arranged.

The district magistrate appealed to health workers and the general public to make the Covid-19 vaccination campaign a success. There is no need to panic at all. If all workers and the masses get the support, the epidemic will definitely be overcome.
