One of the most awaited movies of the year, Vikram's Cobra had a poor weekend at the box office, collecting just Rs. 44 crores approx in its five-day extended weekend frame. The film is opened up with a very good start on its first day as it collected it Rs. 20 crores but crashed on Thursday, which itself had killed its hopes of success but then the film failed to make any gains over the weekend as well.

As per a Box office start, Cobra had opened to earnings of just over â‚¹17 crore across India on Wednesday but saw a massive 70% fall the following day. On Saturday, the first weekend of its release, the film managed a 55% rise but it wasn’t enough given how low the numbers had fallen already.

It collected Rs. 25.60 crores approx in five days in Tamil Nadu, with an ordinary trend. The film dropped on Sunday by around 5 percent, when almost every major film did well on Sundays this year in the state. The Telugu states collected Rs. 10 crores plus in five days, which isn’t bad per se but could have been a lot better. In Karnataka Rs 3.80 crores, Kerela it collected 3.70 crores and in the rest of India, it collected Rs 60 Lakhs.

Cobra, Alongside Vikram, KGF's Srinidhi Shetty, Irfan Pathan, Meenakshi Govindarajan, and Mirnalini Ravi played crucial roles in the film. KS Ravikumar, Miya George, Anandraj, and Roshan Mathew were part of the cast as well. Produced by SS Lalit Kumar, the film had music scored by AR Rahman.
