JLN Stadium Gate Collapses: 8 Injured as Temporary Structure Falls Near Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium

A temporary structure near Gate number 2 of Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium collapsed on Saturday, causing injuries to more than eight people, as per police reports. The collapse occurred during the installation of a pandal for a wedding function at the stadium.

According to a security guard, the collapse happened during a lunch break for the laborers, averting a potential major tragedy. Emergency services, including the Delhi Fire Services, rushed to the scene to conduct rescue operations.

Approximately 10-12 individuals were suspected to be trapped under the debris. The rescued individuals were swiftly transported to AIIMS Trauma Hospital for necessary medical treatment.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far, stated the Delhi Police.
