Bhopal: There has been big news about comedian Munawar Faruqui, who was arrested for speaking out objectionable in Indore, a business city in Madhya Pradesh. In fact, his bail plea has been heard by the Indore Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court last Monday. In this case, a single bench of Justice Rohit Arya first asked, "Why do you take the wrong advantage of someone else's religious sentiments? What is the problem with your ideology? How can you do this for business?" In addition, the court also said that "such people should not be spared."
In fact, on behalf of senior Supreme Court lawyer Vivek Tankha and lawyer Ansuman Srivastava, Faroothe and a co-accused Nalin Yadav had filed a bail plea on Monday. Let me tell you that the judge has reserved his verdict on the bail plea. In this case, Faruqui's lawyer Vivek Tankha said, "In the meantime, we had put up an application for early hearing. It was sanctioned and, therefore, the matter was heard on 25th January." Srivastava has been the deputy advocate general of Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, former additional solicitor general and senior advocate Indira Jaysing termed the matter as a violation of freedom of expression. "It is clear to me that freedom of speech and expression has been seriously compromised in this country," he said last Monday.
Know the matter- In fact, on the first day of the new Year, stand-up deputy comedian Munawar Faruqui went to a function in the 56 shop area of Indore. The convener of the Hindu Protector organization Eklavya (son of local BJP MLA Malini Gaur) was also present there. In the meantime, Eklavya had opposed Faruqui's program and alleged that Munawar had made objectionable remarks about Hindu deities, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Godhra."
