Dumka treasury fraud case: Lalu Yadav's bail plea filed in Jharkhand High Court

New Delhi: RJD supremo Lalu Yadav, who was admitted to Delhi AIIMS, has been asked by the Jharkhand High Court for an early bail hearing. The case relates to Dumkatreasury. Lalu Yadav has been sentenced to 7 years in jail by a CBI court in the Dumka treasury case. Lalu Yadav has sought bail from the High Court citing half the sentence and illness.

Lalu Yadav has been sentenced to four fodder scam cases by the CBI court. In 3 of these cases, he has been granted bail from the Jharkhand High Court. He will come out of jail as soon as he gets bail in the Dumka case. Lalu Yadav's reply in the Dumka case was filed in the High Court on Monday. His lawyer, Devar Mandal, filed his reply. It was reported that the full report of Lalu's jail term has been filed in the court on the court's order. Lalu Yadav has spent 42 months 23 days in jail in the Dumka Treasury case, which is half the term of the sentence. They should be granted bail.

Lalu Yadav is currently admitted to AIIMS in Delhi. He has been referred to AIIMS from RIMS due to breathing problems. He was taken from Ranchi to Delhi by air ambulance. Lalu Yadav had swelling in his face and his longs were seen to be infected. After which he was sent to AIIMS for better treatment. He is already suffering from more than 15 diseases.
