“Comes to UP”, Uttar Pradesh Yogi’s Big Announcements in Bollywood meet

Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met Bollywood celebrities to discuss his ambitious Noida Film City Project. The meet was attended by the Boney Kapoor, Gorakhpur Lok Sabha MP and actor Ravi Kishen, Bhojpuri actor Dinesh Lal Nirhua, playback singers Sonu Nigam, Kailash Kher, actor Suniel Shetty, filmmakers Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Madhur Bhandarkar and Rajkumar Santoshi, were among those who were present at the event.

Chief Minister Yodi in the event said, ''We have made two of your film fraternity members as MPs and we know the issues you face and what needs to be done. Cinema plays a crucial role in uniting the society and preserving the unity and sovereignty of the country." The Chief Minister said under his government's film policy, if a web series is filmed in UP, it will be given 50 per cent subsidy. Likewise, 25 per cent subsidy is given for setting up studios and film labs.

He added, "We have picturesque locations in Tarai and the state’s contribution in the art sector is significant. We are developing international airports, four-lane highways and metro lines. We are hoping for your expertise so that UP can flourish in the entertainment industry. We are offering 50 percent subsidy for web series and 25 percent subsidy for studio laboratories.”

Actor Jackie Shroff sharing a picture from the even wrote, “It was nice to meet @myogiadityanath Ji today along with @SubhashGhai1 ji and my friends @SunielVShetty and @rahulmittra13 and learn about the UP film policy and film city. My best wishes!”. Kailash Kher also wrote, “After the recording, I and SonuNigam Ji met the worthy chief minister of Uttar Pradesh @myogiadityanath @myogioffice and eminent personalities of the film industry. The topic of discussion was that maximum number of people should come and film their art in Uttar Pradesh.”

 

Suniel Shetty in the event also requested Yogi to help Bollywood to end the Boycott trend. He said, “Today, if I am Suniel Shetty, it is because of UP and the fans from there. If you take the lead, this can definitely happen. It is of great importance that this stigma that is on us is gone. It is a very strong emotion for me.” Dukh hota hai bolne me ke humaare pe yeh stigma hai because 99% of us are not like that. Hum din bhar drugs nahi lete.”’

He concluded, “ Hum galat kaam nahi karteHum achhe kaam se jude hai. Bharat ko agar bahar ke desho se kisi ne joda hai toh woh hai humaara music, and our stories. So, Yogi ji if you take the lead and talk to our beloved Prime Minister about it, it will make a huge difference.”
