Dehradun: Chardham Yatra registration is set to commence from April 10, with the official announcement pending the determination of the opening date for Gangotri Temple's doors. While the dates and times for the opening of doors at Shri Badrinath Dham and Shri Kedarnath Dham have already been finalized, the schedule for Gangotri Dham is yet to be confirmed.

The Tourism Department, along with the Shri Panch Temple Committee Gangotri, has completed preparations for the opening of Gangotri Dham's doors, with the official announcement expected on Tuesday, April 9. It is informally decided that devotee registration for all Dhams will begin from April 10.

Authorities have instructed relevant departments to ensure all arrangements are in place before the commencement of the Yatra. This includes strengthening power supply, installing street lights, and ensuring adequate drinking water facilities along the Yatra route.

Snow removal work in Kedarnath Dham is underway, with major roads cleared for movement. The doors of Kedarnath Dham will open for devotees on May 10, followed by the opening of Badrinath Dham on May 12.

Anticipating a record number of tourists, preparations are being made diligently to accommodate the surge in visitors. Once the opening date for Gangotri Dham is confirmed, the registration website for the Yatra will be launched, with all formalities already completed at the department level.
