New Delhi: Nine months after the Demonetization, the Reserve Bank has answered the question that how many old currency of five hundred and one thousand rupees came back. The Reserve Bank has said that 99% of the notes made in the demonetization have returned. After these figures came to light, the opposition has again raised questions on the ban on bondage.

According to the Reserve Bank report, "By June 30, the notes of five hundred and fifty thousand rupees for the total amount of 15 lakh 28 thousand crores have been returned, while the total value of the notes was 15 lakh 44 thousand crores." The old notes of only Rs. 16 thousand crores did not return. However, the notes deposited in cooperative banks and in Nepal are not included.

The Congress attacked the Modi government about these figures of the Reserve Bank. Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi has written on Twitter, "The demonetization has failed terribly. This led to the death of many innocents and the economy was devastated. Will the Prime Minister take charge of this? ''

P Chidambaram, who has been a finance minister in the UPA government, has also written on Twitter, saying that the ban on bondage has failed. "After the ban, only 16 thousand crores of rupees of 15 lakh 44 thousand crores have not returned, it is for the RBI recommending note-offs. It's embarrassing. 99 per cent of notes were changed legally So, the note-making plan was to whiten the black money? The Reserve Bank earned 16 thousand crores, but spent 21 thousand crores for printing new notes. Such an economist should be awarded the Nobel Prize. "

The statistics presented by the Reserve Bank are, at first glance, it seems that there has been no special benefit from the ban on bondage, but according to the government, the misstatements of the RBI data are being removed.

The government says, "Because of the ban on bondage, nearly two lakh fake companies came under hold, cash transactions were reduced and there was an increase in digital transactions. In comparison to last year, cash transactions decreased by one lakh 89 thousand 200 crores and 56 lakh new tax payers also joined. "
