Today, the Congress party has summoned a meeting of its Lok Sabha MPs, scheduled to be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, at the party's parliamentary office in New Delhi. Simultaneously, the Congress has issued a three-line whip mandating the presence of its Lok Sabha MPs in the Parliament.

Interestingly, the Opposition parties have jointly decided to present a no-confidence motion against the BJP-led central government during the Lok Sabha session today.

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary, the Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha, stated on Tuesday, "The Opposition parties are bringing a no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha against the government tomorrow. Today, we find ourselves compelled to resort to this motion because the government has been unresponsive to the opposition's demand for an extensive discussion with the Prime Minister regarding the situation in Manipur. As our leader in the parliament, he should address the issue of Manipur violence and make a statement on the matter."

Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have faced adjournments due to the opposition's persistent demands for a thorough discussion on the Manipur situation, along with a statement from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. While the government has expressed its readiness for discussing the situation in Manipur, the opposition parties are insisting on holding the discussion under a rule that includes voting.
