The political tug of Congress is not over yet. At the meeting of the Congress Working Committee on Monday, a letter written by 23 party leaders demanding change in leadership was overshadowed. After Sonia Gandhi was re-elected the interim president of the party, the leaders who wrote the letter had a meeting regarding the plan ahead. On Tuesday, Sibal has tweeted. The expelled leader Sanjay Jha has described it as the beginning of the end.

Kapil Sibal said, "This is not about a post. It is about my country that matters the most". On the other hand, expelled party leader Sanjay Jha tweeted, "This is the beginning of the end". Earlier, Sibal tweeted protesting Rahul Gandhi's alleged remarks in collusion with BJP. However, when he spoke to Rahul, he deleted that tweet.

In the Congress Working Committee meeting, Rahul Gandhi accused the leaders of collusion with the Bharatiya Janata Party. On which Kapil Sibal and Ghulam Nabi Azad clarified on this charge. Sibal had said that "In the last 30 years, I have never given a statement in favour of BJP on any issue". After the senior leader's tweet, Rahul spoke to him, after which he removed the tweet. Ghulam Nabi Azad had said that if Rahul Gandhi's statement of collusion with the Bharatiya Janata Party is proved, then he will abdicate his post.
