New Delhi: Congress decides to work with other parties that share its views on issues like farmers and the border. Top Congress leaders agreed on Friday to work together with other parties during the upcoming budget session of parliament and raise issues of public concern, such as farmers' issues and border disputes with China.

This was determined at a meeting of the Congress Parliamentary Strategy group chaired by party chief Sonia Gandhi. The meeting was held online, and it was decided to talk about farmers in distress, a border dispute with China, and a package of help for Covid victims. The party has been asking for money for the families of people who died in Covid.

Congress also decided to talk about the sale of Air India to the Tata group, as well as the downturn in the Indian economy and the high prices of basic goods that people need to live.

Congress Parliamentary Party leader Sonia Gandhi heads the group, which also includes the leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge. The group also includes senior party leaders A K Antony, K C Venugopal, Anand Sharma, Gaurav Gogoi, K Suresh, Jairam Ramesh, and Manickam Tagore. Manish Tewari, a member of the party, also came to the meeting.
