New Delhi: The Congress is currently facing a very bad phase. Even the trusted leaders of the party are now leaving Congress. The country's oldest political party has suffered its third consecutive setback in three days. It is reported that CR Kesavan, the grandson of India's first Indian Governor General C Rajagopalachari, joined the BJP on Saturday (April 8). Kesavan had resigned from Congress almost a month ago.

According to the report, while leaving the Congress, Kesavan said that he was not happy with the way politics was going on in the Congress. He had said, 'Once I leave the party, I don't think I should make any statements to Congress. I am not comfortable with the kind of politics taking place in Congress, and leaving the party is the right decision, and that is what I did today. Kesavan had said, 'I have been a part of the Congress for the last 22 years, but with time I realised that the approach in the Congress was neither constructive nor concrete. The values for which I worked have changed.

Let us tell you that Kiran Kumar Reddy, the last CM of undivided Andhra Pradesh, joined the BJP on Friday itself. He too had left the Congress long ago. He raised questions about the high command of the Congress while joining the BJP. Earlier on Friday, Anil, the son of veteran Congress leader and former Defence Minister AK Antony, joined the BJP. He was given party membership by Union minister Piyush Goyal, V Muraleedharan, and Kerala BJP unit president K Surendran. Anil had also raised questions about the controversial BBC documentary on the Gujarat riots. After the uproar over his statement, he resigned from all congressional posts.
