Congress issues adjournment notice in Lok Sabha

In Lok Sabha today the Congress party has issued an adjournment notice over the formation of government in Manipur and Goa. The Supreme Court will hear the petition which challenges the appointment of Manohar Parrikar as Chief Minister.

The delegation led by Congress leader Digvijaya Sinha will meet the Governor Mridula Sinha. She issued a letter to officially appoint Parrikar as Cheif Minister. The congress earlier had also moved to Apex court against the decision.

The President Pranab Mukherjee has accepted the resignation of Manohar Parrikar as Chief Minister and the additional charge is given to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

In Goa, Congress party got 17 seats while BJP got 13 seats and there are total 40 seats on which the elections were done. To make a Government here in the state it is necessary to have 21 seats. The other parties who got left seats as per the sources news supported BJP.
