Lucknow: The party has sent a show-cause notice to two Congress leaders, Faisal Lala and Matiurrahman, who made statements outside the party line in the case of Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan. The Congress party has asked both leaders to reply in five days. In the notice sent by the Disciplinary Committee to Congress leader Faisal Lala of Rampur, it is stated that he has an old rivalry with Azam Khan and is making false statements using party banners in personal interest.

Matiurrahman alias Bablu has also been treated as indiscipline for giving the party's unacceptable statement against SP national president Akhilesh Yadav's visit to Rampur. Actually, Faisal Lala said that Akhilesh Yadav is coming to incite a riot in Rampur. Faisal Lala had written a letter to UP Governor Anandi Ben Patel, saying that about 80 cases against MP Azam Khan from Rampur parliamentary seat are registered in various police stations of the district. Along with this, the police have also recovered stolen goods from Azam Khan's University and Azam Khan has been declared a land mafia.

The letter said that due to these incidents, not only the victim's family but also the general public has spread anger against Azam Khan, so Azam Khan has been absconding from Rampur for the last two months and a court warrant has also been issued against him in many cases. Even after this, SP President Akhilesh Yadav wants to spoil the atmosphere by coming to Rampur in support of Azam Khan.
