New Delhi: After the poor performance in the last elections, some political parties in the country have become a crisis on national status. The Election Commission has asked these parties questions regarding the withdrawal of national status. These parties include Trinamool Congress, Communist Party of India (CPI) and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). ' At present, Congress, BJP, BSP, CPI, CPI (Marxist), Trinamool, NCP and National People's Party of Meghalaya have national party status.
