Chandigarh: Ahead of the Haryana Assembly elections, the Congress has suffered a major setback. Former Congress state president Ashok Tanwar has resigned from the primary membership of the party. Tanwar has given information about resigning from party priority by tweeting. Let me tell you that Tanwar was upset with the party after the state president was taken away.
Earlier on Friday, former state Congress president Ashok Tanwar resigned from all major posts in the party. Ashok Tanwar attacked former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda. Ashok Tanwar had alleged that this Haryana Congress has now become Hooda Congress. Tanwar said that as his state president, all those who sweat their blood, struggled hard to strengthen the Congress, all of them were sidelined and Bhupendra Singh Hooda distributed tickets as per his choice.
Ashok Tanwar also wrote a letter in this regard to the interim president of the Congress, Sonia Gandhi. However, Ashok Tanwar had claimed that he would remain in the Congress party and continue to work as a common party worker. Let me tell you that the heat of the Congress in Haryana had reached the threshold of Sonia Gandhi. Ashok Tanwar also staged a massive protest outside his party headquarters in Delhi with his supporters.
