New Delhi: A letter was written to Sonia Gandhi by 23 veteran Congress leaders about the change of Congress leadership, which was a period of accusation and counter-accusation in the working committee meeting. After this, efforts are on to convince the disgruntled leaders. In such a situation, Ghulam Nabi Azad, who was main member among those who wrote letters to Sonia Gandhi, said that he is ready to wait for six months until a full-time party chief is appointed to listen to all the issues raised by him.
Talking to a private news channel, senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that, "If Sonia Gandhi appoints me as a member of the proposed committee to resolve these issues, I will be happy to do so." He has said that as a Congressman he is not bothered about whether Rahul Gandhi becomes the next president or someone else will be entrusted with this responsibility.
He said that if the party finds a full-time president in place of all these, then he will be more happy. Ghulam Nabi Azad has said that 'anyone can become the full-time president of the party. I am not a full-time president. I just wish that the party gets a full-time president.
