New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has questioned the central government's policy amid the ongoing vaccination programme against the corona virus epidemic. He has termed the government's vaccine policy as "unjust". He attacked PM Narendra Modi's government through a tweet on Wednesday. In the meantime, he questioned the registration process and vaccine prices.

Ramesh wrote in his tweet, "Modi's vaccination policy, especially for the age group of 18 to 44, is not really a policy. Rather, the worst is that it is the most unjust.' Jairam Ramesh has also counted three reasons for this. He said, 'A large number of people have been left out due to large scale shortage of vaccine, mandatory cowin booking.' He said, 'According to an affidavit given by the government to the Supreme Court, 50 per cent of the vaccines allocated to the Centre are for private hospitals.'

Significantly, many states in the country have protested against the central government's supply of vaccines. Last Tuesday, the Delhi government said they may have to close down vaccine centres due to lack of vaccine. Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said, 'We are asking the Centre for more doses, but it did not happen. If that's the case, we'll have to close vaccine centers. We need a vaccine that the Centre is not providing.'
