New Delhi: After leaving the Congress, Khushboo Sundar joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday. He resigned from the Congress party today. He wrote a letter to the interim president of the Congress, Sonia Gandhi. In his letter, he had leveled serious allegations against big party leaders. Khushboo accused the top party leaders of pressurizing her.
She wrote in his letter that, 'Some elements within the party are sitting at a high level, who have no connection with ground reality or public recognition, they are giving orders'. She said that people like me who want to work for the party are being pressed. He further said in his letter that I have decided to leave the party after deliberating for a long time. Along with this, he has thanked Rahul Gandhi and other leaders for being appointed the party's national spokesperson. According to media reports, Khushboo Sundar is going to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) soon.
At the same time, the Tamil Nadu Congress blamed Khushboo Sundar for lack of her 'ideological commitment' on this decision. The party said that their decision will not affect the politics of Tamil Nadu. On reports of Khushboo joining the BJP, AICC in-charge in Tamil Nadu Dinesh Gundu Rao said that she was criticizing BJP and PM Narendra Modi till a week ago. Now joining BJP, which she was criticizing, shows that she does not have ideological commitment.
