Lucknow: The country has registered an increase in crime against women in the past. The congress is launching an online campaign today. Congress party's national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra spoke attacked the Uttar Pradesh government without naming it on Twitter.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra tweeted from her official Twitter handle, "Crimes against women are on the rise. In the meantime, it is most shameful to accuse the victim instead of listening to their truth and their voice. The women of the country will no longer remain silent. If a sister is convicted, millions of sisters will raise their voices and stand with them," he added. We're taking our own responsibility. Now women have to take care of women's safety. #SpeakUpForWomenSafety'.

The Congress-led by Priyanka Gandhi has taken an aggressive stand on Hathras gang rape and murder. Congress is constantly questioning the Yogi Adityanath government of UP. There have been several revelations in the past in the Hathras case, in which a number of allegations have been levelled against the victim's family. The CBI is currently investigating the matter.
