Lucknow: BSP national president and former UP CM Mayawati on Monday strongly condemned the deadly attack on a temple priest in Gonda, lashing out at Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh. He questioned the law and order of the state over the attack on the priest and said that saints are no longer safe under the saint's rule.
Mayawati also demanded CM Yogi Adityanath to increase the security of saints. Mayawati questioned the law and order of Uttar Pradesh through a tweet on Monday. She said that like Rajasthan, the deadly attack on the priest of the temple in Gonda district of UP with the intention of occupying the land by land mafia is very shameful.
In a tweet, former CM Mayawati has further written that it is clear that the sadhus are no longer safe in the government of a Saint. What can be the worse law and order situation? She has asked the Yogi Government of the state to take serious cognizance of all aspects of the matter and take stringent legal action against the culprits and seize the property of all land mafia associated with the incident.
