Lucknow: Priyanka has been given a clean chit in a complaint against Congress Party's National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra under the Wildlife Protection Act. The Forest Department's investigation team found Priyanka not guilty in the snake-playing case, while two snakes exhibiting at that time were found guilty against whom an FIR has been lodged.

During the Lok Sabha election campaign on May 2, Priyanka Vadra reached Purwa village of Hansa, which falls under the Bhadokhar police station area of Janpad, and heard her troubles from the snake charmers and sought votes for her mother Sonia Gandhi. Meanwhile, two snakes kept in their pits were also present, who showed the snakes to Priyanka Vadra. Priyanka Vadra touched the snakes and picked them up in the hand, which was taken into cognizance and booked under the Wildlife Protection Act. On the same complaint, DFO Tulsi Das of the Forest Department formed an investigation team.

SDO BN Shukla investigated the whole case, in which Priyanka Vadra was given a clean chit. Two snake charmers were found guilty against whom an FIR was lodged. Priyanka Vadra did not play with snakes in the investigation team, on the basis of which she was acquitted, while media coverage during that time clearly showed Priyanka playing with snakes and that is why the episode was in the spotlight.
