New Delhi: The farmers' agitation continues today on the 18th day in protest against the three agricultural laws on the Delhi border. The Punjab unit of the Kisan Union had announced the closure of Delhi-Jaipur National Highway on Saturday. The organization has now said to stop the movement on the highway on Sunday. Meanwhile, senior Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor arrived at a dharna organized by party MPs from Punjab at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.

Tharoor said, "My friends here are asking the Center to settle the matter with the farmers' unions and also organize a winter session that should have started by the third week of November." Whereas, on the 14th of December Farmers' organizations have started strategizing to stage a sit-in demonstration at district headquarters across the country and siege of ministers, MPs, MLAs. Farmer leaders who have stood at the Indus border in Delhi, trade-back union, rail-transport union since Saturday morning, left to seek support from office bearers of Petrol Pump Organization etc.

With this, on the call of farmer leaders, a large number of farmers from Punjab have left for Delhi riding on tractor-trolley, bus, scooter, bike and cars. For the long war, the farmers have filled the grains for months in the vehicles.
