Nagpur: Differences have started within Mahavikas Aghadi, built-in Maharashtra. There was a demand from Shiv Sena to change the name of Aurangabad city of Maharashtra to Sambhaji Nagar. Congress has now raised objection to this demand. Congress has instructed the Shiv Sena to "make all the decisions of the government on the basis of the Common Minimum Program and whatever decisions should be with the consent of all parties.

Shiv Sena has been wanting to change the name of Aurangabad for a long time. Earlier, Shiv Sena demanded to change the name to Sambhaji Nagar, which provoked the Congress. This demand was made even when Shiv Sena was part of the coalition government with BJP. Just a few months ago, the Maharashtra government administration sent a formal proposal in this regard to the Uddhav government. Congress is included as an ally in this government headed by Uddhav. As soon as the Congress came to know about the proposal, Congress has expressed its objection that just by changing the name, there is no development of Aurangabad.

Congress said in its statement, 'There is currently no proposal to change the name of Aurangabad among the parties of Aghadi and if any such proposal comes, we will also oppose it. In Maharashtra, no government decision will be taken away from the Common Minimum Program of the Mahaghadi. It spoke to the media and said, 'The Mahaghadi government has been formed on the basis of a common minimum program. All our decisions should be based on this program. There is currently no proposal to change the name of Aurangabad among the parties of Aghadi and if such a proposal comes, we will oppose it'. In Maharashtra, no government decision will be taken away from the Common Minimum Program of the Mahaghadi.
