New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi has made a big announcement saying that their party will not oppose the much talked about new Motor Vehicle Act. The interim president of the Congress, Sonia Gandhi, has directly told the party leaders that in principle the party will not oppose it. Sonia Gandhi has also said that if any wrong action takes place during the enforcement of this law, then it must be opposed.

Sonia Gandhi has said this in a meeting with party leaders on Friday. Sonia Gandhi has said this at a time when the Congress-ruled states were appearing in a state of disarray and advocating changes in the law for the implementation of the new Motor Vehicle Act. In fact, after the embarrassing defeat in the Lok Sabha elections, Sonia Gandhi's focus is on streamlining the organizational structure. Therefore, she held a meeting with the Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states on 10 Janpath on Friday.

According to sources, the party's stance on the new Motor Vehicle Act was made clear in this meeting. Sonia Gandhi, in a meeting with the chief ministers, state in-charge and heads of Congress-ruled states, has asked them to work in coordination. She emphasized the performance of Congress governments in four states and one union territory.
