Ranchi: Encouraged by the results of the by-elections in the assembly and other states of Haryana and Maharashtra, the Congress has now started preparing for the Jharkhand and Delhi assembly elections. In Jharkhand, the Congress has started forming a grand alliance to give a fight to the BJP. Congress talk with Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) is almost final. While Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM), efforts are on to bring the Left parties together.

In order to defeat the BJP in Jharkhand and Delhi, the Congress is trying to stop the division of opposition votes. Efforts are on to bring other parties together for this. Congress in Jharkhand also seems to be successful in this. After the differences after the Lok Sabha elections, once again Congress and JMM are seen contesting the elections together. JMM working president Hemant Soren has held talks with Congress state president Rameshwar Oraon.

Along with this, the Congress is also trying to bring the alliance into the form of a grand alliance by bringing together leaders of other parties including Babulal Marandi of JVM. Congress leaders believe that if the division of votes of opposition parties is stopped then it will be easy to stop the BJP's victory chariot. JMM working president Hemant Soren says that the nature of the alliance will be decided soon. The talk will be finalized on one seat each.
