Ranchi: Encouraged by the results of the by-elections in the assembly and other states of Haryana and Maharashtra, the Congress has now started preparing for the Jharkhand and Delhi assembly elections. In Jharkhand, the Congress has started forming a grand alliance to give a fight to the BJP. Congress talk with Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) is almost final. While Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM), efforts are on to bring the Left parties together.

In order to defeat the BJP in Jharkhand and Delhi, the Congress is trying to stop the division of opposition votes. Efforts are on to bring other parties together for this. JMM working president Hemant Soren has held talks with Congress state president Rameshwar Oraon.
