New Delhi: Thirteen people including the country's first CDS General Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat lost their lives in a helicopter crash in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu on December 8. Group Captain Varun Singh, who was injured in the accident on Wednesday (December 15, 2021), has also passed away. Indian Air Force Group Captain Varun Singh was the only member who was found alive after the incident and all efforts were made to save him. But all the efforts of the doctors proved futile and he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, a Congress poster is going viral, in which General CDS Bipin Rawat's photo is attached and 'Uttarakhand Vijay Samman Rally' is written on it. Taking a jibe at this, BJP leader Tejinder Pal Singh Bagga has tweeted. Bagga wrote that, 'How low will the Congress fall? Bipin Rawat ji whom Congress leaders kept insulting while he was alive, kept calling him street goonda, did not spend 1 week after his death and started putting his pictures in Congress rally to collect votes. Shame on Congress.

Let us inform that in 2017, Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit made indecent remarks against General Bipin Rawat. The former MP had called the then Army Chief a 'sadak ka goon'. He made this comparison in response to a question asked in the context of Pakistan Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa's rhetoric on the border. However, he later apologised.
