Congress furious over Ghulam Nabi's 'show of strength' in Kashmir

Srinagar: The Congress' difficulties in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir are not going down well. While all Congress leaders resigned from their posts, accusing the state leadership. On the other hand, veteran Congress leader and former CM Ghulam Nabi Azad held a big rally in Kathua, which is being seen as a show of strength. During this, Ghulam Nabi Azad said that he will do what the people of the state want him to do for the betterment of the state.

On the other hand, Congress has expelled Azad from the Disciplinary Action Committee after his show of strength. It may be recalled that in Jammu and Kashmir recently four former ministers and three former MLAs resigned collectively from their posts in Congress. All these leaders are said to be special to Azad. These leaders have also accused Congress's high command of ignoring it. Azad, however, categorically refused to be aware of the issue.

After the rally, when Azad was questioned whether he would be the CM face on behalf of the Congress, he replied, "I will do what I want to do for the betterment of the people state of Jammu and Kashmir." On the other hand, the resigning leaders who attended Ghulam Nabi's rally said that they only like Ghulam Nabi Azad as the chief ministerial candidate from the Congress side in Jammu and Kashmir and not Congress state president Ghulam Ahmed Mir.
